Joann (Steinbacher) Cooler

Dearing- Mrs. Joann S. Cooler, 81, widow of Mr. James H. Cooler Jr., died Friday, April 28, 2023, at her residence.

A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the Dearing Memorial Cemetery, with Mr. Jack McCorkle officiating.

Mrs. Cooler was a native of Williamsport, Pa., but had lived in Dearing for many years. She was a retired School Bus Driver with the Richmond County Board of Education. She then became a caregiver for her son and husband.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Cooler Jr., her son, Brian Cooler, her parents, Howard and Geraldine Steinbacher, and siblings, Anna Mae and Howard. Survivors include her son, Glen (Tammy) Cooler; her two brothers, John Steinbacher and William Steinbacher; Her nieces, Shelley (Eddie) Palmer and Jodi (Monty) Baldwin; and nephew, Albert (Angie) Cooler Jr.; and several great-nieces and great nephews.

There will be no visitation.
