John M. Cook, Jr.

Appling - Mr. John M. Cook, Jr., 62, beloved son of Ruth Bell (Charlie) and John M. Cook, Sr., passed away, Friday, July 25, 2025, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 12  noon, Thursday, July 31, 2025, in the Kiokee Baptist Church in Appling, with Rev. Steve Hartman officiating.

Mr. Cook was born in Atlanta, Ga., but had lived in Appling for many years.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth (Charlie) Bell, Appling; his father, Mr. John M. Cook, Sr.; his three sisters, Amanda Eidson, North Augusta, S.C., Maury Howell and Dawn Chastain, both of Powder Springs, his brother, Joe David Bell , several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
