John R. Love

Thomson - Mr. John R. Love, 74, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Kenny officiating. Burial will follow in Westview cemetery.

Mr. Love was born in Thomasville, Ga., to the late Charles and Idether Love. He made his home in Augusta for many years before moving to Thomson. He was  retired from the construction industry. He was a Baptist by faith. He loved his Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldog football.

Survivors include his two daughters, Patricia Dawn Love and Lisa Marie Love; his two sons, Charles “Sammy” Love and John T. Love; his three sisters, Ann Hokrein, Patricia Malpass, and Darlene Watts; his 9 grandchildren and his 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dachshund "Maggie".

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, prior to services.
