Josie (Johnson) Davis

Thomson - Mrs. Josie Johnson Davis, 82, died Monday, April 22, 2024, in the Gibson Health & Rehab facility.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2024, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Roland Galloway officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis was a native of Trenton, SC, but had lived in the Thomson / Boneville community for many years. She was a retired Supervisor with the Advance Auto Zone Warehouse. She was a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church in Harlem.

Survivors include her three daughters, LaVerne (Roland) Galloway, Harlem, Janet (John) Reynolds, Columbia, SC, and Sharon Davis, Thomson; her son, Nick Davis, Thomson; her two sisters, Myrtie Cushman, Warrenville, SC and Elle Burkett, N. Augusta, SC; her two brothers, George T. “Bud” (Brenda) Johnson, Graniteville, SC and Joseph C. Johnson, Jr., Warrenville, SC; her three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hinton, Nickolas Hinton, Aaron Aycox, Caleb Barrow, Eric Taylor and Mark Paluszynski.  Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Epperly, Tony Williams and Robert Cushman.

The family requests donations be made to the Gibson Health & Rehab Facility.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, at the funeral home.
