Joyce M. (Brooks) Hughes

Thomson - Mrs. Joyce Marion Hughes, 88, widow of Mr. Bud Hughes, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in Doctors Hospital / Augusta.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020 in the Sweetwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to the covid 19 pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be observed.

Mrs. Hughes was a native of Jefferson County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a homemaker and care giver. She attended Sweetwater Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband.  Survivors include a daughter, Julie Hughes; three grandchildren, Victoria, Dustin and Katlyn; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
