Joyce (Allen) Sheppard

Mrs. Joyce A. Sheppard, 87, widow of Mr. Jimmy Sheppard, passed away, Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Harper's Alternative Care Facility in Washington, Ga.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2024, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Dr. David Lambert officiating.

Mrs. Sheppard was born in Jefferson County, but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired LPN. She was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Sheppard; her parents, Robert and Charlotte Allen; and a sister, Evelyn Argo. Survivors include her two sons, Perry (Donna) Sheppard, Thomson and Dale Sheppard, Atlanta; her sister, Barbara Johnson, Wrens; her two brothers, Grady Allen, Lilburn and Lester Allen, Stapleton; and her grandson, Nathan (Megan) Sheppard, Thomson.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
