Thomson - Mrs. Linda S. Yarbrough, 81, beloved wife of Mr. Jay Yarbrough, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026, at her residence.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Painter officiating.
Mrs. Yarbrough was born in Raleigh, N.C., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired social worker, with the McDuffie County Department of Children Services. She was a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Zeffie Smith, and her brother, Roger Smith. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Jay Yarbrough, Thomson; her two sons, Wade (Tina) Yarbrough, Thomson and Don (Kathi) Mullins, Woodstock, Ga.; her sister, Mrs. Joan Painter, Jacksonville, Fl.; her three grandchildren, Dakota (Sara) Yarbrough, Shelby (Noah) Mandarini, and Chris (Amber) Burch; and her 5 great-grandchildren, Hayden Burch, Rylan Burch, Mackenzie Yarbrough, Brooklyn Mandarini, and Dawsyn Mandarini.
