Thomson- Mrs. Lois Tankersley, 95, widow of Mr. Earl Tankersley, died Monday, December 2, 2024, in the Lake Crossing Health Facility.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating.
Mrs. Tankersley was born in Richmond County, but had lived in McDuffie County for many years. She was retired from the Thomson Company as a Seamstress. She was a member of the Thomson Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her two daughters, Vicky T. (Jerry) Randolph, Dearing and Angela T. (Terry) Englett, Stapleton; her two sons, Jerry L. (Mary) Tankersley and David Tankersley, both of Thomson; her 7 grandchildren, Amy R. Clark, Casey R. Story, Jordan Tankersley, James Tankersley, Jenna Tankersley, Evan Englett, and Emily E. Blocker; and her 8 Great-Grandchildren.
The family would like to give special Thanks to Rosa Freeman, Iris Glover, Leslie Perouza, and the B Hall Staff at Lake Crossing Health Facility.
Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the graveside services on Wednesday.
