Thomson - Mrs. Marie Hobbs Miller, 92, widow of Mr. Grover Hobbs and Mr. Richard Miller, died Friday, September 4, 2020.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020, in the Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Faye Burgamy officiating. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing will be observed.
Mrs. Miller was a native of Glascock County, but had lived in McDuffie County for many years. She was a homemaker. She had worked in the textile industry for many years, at Michael’s Restaurant, and the McDuffie Progress. She was a member of the Zoar United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and her daughter, Patsy Pentecost. Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra (Nicky) Cloud, Gibson, and Amanda (Jack) Smallwood, Thomson; her six grandchildren, Jeannie Pentecost, Dearing, Mandy (Johnny) Brantley, Thomson, Cora Pentecost, Dearing, Tommy (Marie) Smallwood, Newnan, Camille Smallwood, and Derek (Tammy) Cloud, N. Augusta; and her five great-grandsons; Parker Caston, Tripp Brantley, Jackson Brantley, henry Brantley, and Oren Smallwood.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this Tuesday night, at the funeral home. Masks will be required.
