Martha (Darsey) Welch

Thomson- Mrs. Martha Darsey Welch, 81, widow of Mr. Lewis “Bill” Welch, died Friday, March 25, 2022, in the University Augusta Hospital. 

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2022, in the Westview Cemetery with Dr. David Lambert officiating. 

Mrs. Welch was a native of McDuffie County. She was a Homemaker and a member of the Thomson First Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Welch was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis “Bill” Welch, her daughter, Elizabeth Welch Mayfield, and her parents, Frank and Sara Darsey, Sr.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Lynn Dent (Ashley), their children Ethan and Emery, Grovetown; her son, Michael Welch, Thomson; her two brothers, Robert (Sybil) Darsey, Piedmont, Al., and Frank Darsey, Loganville, Ga.
