Thomson - Mrs. Mary D. Englett, 97, beloved wife of the late Mr. Allen T. Englett, died Friday, February 2, 2024, at home surrounded by family.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Dr. David Lambert officiating.
Mrs. Englett was born in Jefferson County, but had lived in Thomson, GA for most of her adult life. She was the retired co-owner /operator of Englett Paint and Body in Thomson and Wrens. She was a faithful member of Thomson First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Hanson, Thomson; two granddaughters, Angie (Chris) Rogers and Kelli (Jay) Poston, both of Thomson; four great-grandchildren, Allen Rogers (Ashley Thigpen), Drue (Courtney) Poston, Sibyl Poston and Dozier Rogers; her brother, Melvin Dye of Louisville; a special niece, Faye (Bob) Godowns of Louisville; a special nephew, Kenneth (Martha) Norris of Thomson, and many more nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful caregivers of Regency Hospice.
Nana (Mrs. Englett) will be greatly missed by the many “babies” she so loved.
