Mary Jean (Couch) Williams

Dearing - Mrs. Mary Jean Couch Williams, 72, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2023, in the New Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, in Cadley, with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to time of service at the graveside.

Mrs. Williams was born in Tignall, Ga., but had lived in Dearing for many years. She worked at the Thomson Company and had retired after 20 years from Thomson Plastics. She was a member of the Tignall Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Doris Couch, and her brother, Dean Couch. She is survived by her son, Jimmy (Heather) Laird; her daughter, Emma Marie Williams; her sister, Ann (Roger) Nicholson; her brother, Jack (Patricia) Moody; and her 5 grandchildren, Emerson Daly, Kayleigh Laird, Ashleigh Laird, J.T. Laird, and Jase Laird.
