Winfield - Mrs. Mildred W. Bullard, 89, beloved wife of the late David S. Bullard, entered into rest Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at her residence. Mildred was a native and lifelong resident of Columbia County. She retired from the Columbia County Department of Family and Children Services with 30 plus years of service and was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
Family members include her three sons, Lanny Bullard (Judy), Drew Bullard and Daryl Bullard. Four grandchildren, Jamy “David” Bullard and Jennifer, Sarah Bullard, Walker Bullard and Laurice, and Alice Bullard. One great-grandchild, Ruby Bullard and one niece, Phyllis Richardson.
Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Syrus and Ida Mae Avrett Walker, her brother, Ralph Lanier Walker and a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Bullard.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2022, at 11 a.m., in the Sharon Baptist Church, with Rev. Andy Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jamy Bullard, Walker Bullard, Jerry Bullard, Jamie Harrell, John Raley, and Keith Nichols.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Curtis Funeral Home and one prior to services at the church.
