Myra Wall Obituary

Thomson, GA - Mrs. Myra Jean Wilson Wall, 78, beloved wife of 55 years to the late Edward Lamar “Eddie” Wall, died Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens.

No services or visitation are planned at this time.

Mrs. Wall was born in Atlanta and lived in various places, including Kentucky and Germany, during her father’s tenure as a Major in the United States Army. She graduated high school in Central City, Kentucky and was accepted to the University of Kentucky. However, an unplanned moved to Atlanta interrupted those plans and she attended the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor’s in Journalism. Mrs. Wall was a retired secretary and a member of Thomson First Baptist Church. Civically, she was a member of Thomson Lioness Club and Thomson Junior Women’s Club. In her spare time, “Grandmommie”, as she was called by her family, enjoyed reading and taking care of others, and will be remembered for the many greeting cards she sent her friends.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Charla and Jimmy Webb of Elberton; son, Dustin Wall; grandchildren: Madison Elizabeth Webb, Walter Grayson Webb, and Carter James Webb; sister, Judy Wilson of Thomson; siblings-in-law: Laura McCravy (wife of the late Pete) of Lilburn, Mary Bailey (wife of the late Claud) of Tucker, Jimmy (Jeanine) Wall of Williamson, and Jeffie Wall (wife of the late Rowe) of Kathleen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, Major Carl Joseph Wilson, US Army, Retired and Alexena Elizabeth Mills Wilson.

Contributions may be made in her memory to Dewy Rose Baptist Church Missions Fund, 1923 Pulliam Mill Road, Dewy Rose, GA 30634.
