Thomson- Mr. Norman Emery Hawes Jr., 84, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Hawes was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He joined the U.S. Army after he graduated high school and served for over 26 years. He later was hired by the U.S. Army as a consultant and served another 22 years. He had made his home in Thomson for several years.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hawes Vlamis, of Wichita Kansas.
