Oran "Sonny" E. Hunt, Jr.

Thomson - Mr. Oran E. “Sonny” Hunt, Jr., 76, died Sunday, December 27, 2020, in the Gibson Health & Rehab.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be observed.

Mr. Hunt was born in Wilkes County, but lived in Thomson for many years before moving to the Augusta area. He worked for many years at the Curtis Funeral Home. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela K. Rodgers, Thomson; his sister, Patricia Ann Dekle, Louisville; his grandson, Jason Ford; his two nieces, Renee Hutcheson, Hephzibah and Georgann Pharris; and his nephew, David Dekle.
