Thomson - Mrs. Rachel Tullis, 70, widow of Mr. Charles L. Tullis Sr., died Friday, December 11, 2020, in Doctors Hospital.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2020, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with Rev Mike Sutphin officiating. Due to Covid 19, face masks and social distancing will be observed.
Mrs. Tullis was born in Wilkes County, but lived in Thomson for many years. She worked in the cafeteria for Wrens and North Harlem Elementary Schools. She later worked at Wal-mart for over 20 years. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Oliver and Marguerite Axon; and a brother, Roy Axon. Survivors include her two daughters, Vickie (Wayne) Bentley, Thomson and Mitzy Axon, Jackson, S.C.; her two grandsons, Bob (Adarian) Bentley, Rincon, Ga. and Will (Macy) Bentley, Thomson; her two great-granddaughters, Harper and Raegan Bentley; and her brother, Lloyd (Leona) Axon, Dearing.
Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
