Ralph Gay Obituary

Dearing- Mr. Ralph Gordon Gay, 75, widower of Mrs. Melvis Black Gay, died Friday, January 8, 2021, at Doctors Hospital.

A private Family graveside service will be in Walker Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Rockefeller officiating.

Mr. Gay was a native of Richmond County, but had lived in Dearing for many years. He was retired from Georgia Power and was an Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melvis B. Gay and his parents, Gordon and Sara Gay. Survivors include his daughter, Sherry McCorkle (Travis); his son, Billy Gay (Gitti); his grandchildren, Brett Gay, Brooke Gay, Katie Howell, Britney Murphy, Ashlie Lanier, Christopher Howell, and Brandon Gay; and 12 great-grandchildren.
