Thomson- Mr. Raymond Fendley, 83, husband of Mrs. Estelle Fendley, died Thursday, April 29, 2021, in the University / Augusta Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. James McCollum and Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Adams Chapel Cemetery, Dearing.
Mr. Fendley was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in McDuffie County for most of his life. He worked at the Hillcrest Farms in Dearing for many years. He was a member of Dearing Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Fendley; his parents, Emory and Fannie Fendley; and 9 siblings. Survivors include his wife, Estelle Fendley; two daughters, Frances (James) McCollum and Tonya Sorrells; three sons, Frank (Fredia) Bedenbaugh, David (Timmy) Bedenbaugh, and Randy Reeves; three brothers, R.L. (Mary Ruth) Fendley, Marvin Fendley, and Melvin (Mary) Fendley; two grandchildren, Abbi Findley and Gavin Findley and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Sorrells, Gavin Findley, David Bedenbaugh Jr., Steven Jump, Reid Walden, and Wesley Jones.
Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the services.
