Rosemary (Markley) Mooney

Thomson - Mrs. Rosemary Markley Mooney, 63, beloved wife of Mr. Andy Mooney, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the Piedmont / McDuffie Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Scott Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Mooney was born in Washington, D.C., but had lived in Thomson for many years. She was a retired cashier.

Survivors include her husband, Andy Mooney, Thomson; her two daughters, Tara Markley and Kristy Corey, both of Thomson; her two sons, Jimmy Kitchens Jr. and Eric Mooney, both of Thomson; her two sisters, Debra Markley and Linda Nelson, both of Thomson; her brother, Billy Markley, Thomson; her sister-in-law, Angie Markley; her 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday night at the Funeral Home.
