Gibson - Mrs. Shirley Bell Hillman, 83, widow of Mr. James Elton Hillman, passed away, Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in the Gibson Health & Rehab Facility.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Starks and Mr. Jerry Hillman officiating. Burial will be in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Hillman was born in Warren County and lived most of her life in Stapleton. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Hillman, her children, Cheryl Hillman and Danny Hillman, her parents William and Mary Evans; all of her siblings; and her granddaughter, Melissa Williams. She is survived by her two daughters, Teresa (James) Wilburn, Norwood, and Gail (Charles) Holbrook, Thomson; her son Jerry Hillman, Swainsboro; her grandchildren, Allen (Crystal) Hillman, Jennifer Hillman, Angie (Lynn) Phillips, Gene (Tabitha) Holbrook, Jeffrey (Jennifer) Holbrook, James Cameron Wilburn, and Krystle Ciarra (David) Holland; her great-grandchildren, Kimberly (Daniel) Golden, Sloan (Daniel) Rawlins, Hunter (Breanna) Phillips, Hannah Mae Holbrook, Evan Holbrook, Bryar Holbrook, Jessica (Jason) Simpson, Joshua (Kayla) Hillman, Taylor (Dale) Bowles Jonathan (Samantha) Fanning, Christina Gantt, Brittany Brazell, Travis Brazell, Christian Williams, James Dante Wilburn, Julius Elton Wilburn, Julie Ciarra Ann Wilburn, Nolan Isaiah Holland and Ezra Josiah Holland; and her great-great-grandchildren, Paisley Holbrook, Cole Phillips, Carmen Phillips, Peyton, Nathaniel, Samuel, Levi, Lydia Bowles, Sofia Bowles, Addison Fanning, Elijah Maddox Wren, and Riley Golden.
Pallbearers will be Allen Hillman, Gene Holbrook, Jeffrey Holbrook, Lynn Phillips, Cameron Wilburn, and David Holland.
Friends may call at the Curtis funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the services.
