Sterling Gibson Ansley, Jr.

Thomson - Mr. Sterling G. Ansley, Jr., 72, widower of Mrs. Sandra Parish Ansley, of Margarets Road, died Thursday, December 5, 2019, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2019, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Don Widener officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Ansley was a lifelong resident of McDuffie County. He was a retired millwright from Plant Vogtle. He was a member of Thomson First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his  daughter, Kim Ansley, Evans; his son, Travis Ansley, Evans; his sister, Becky Ashley (Claude), Thomson; his brother, Steve Wilson (Missy), Thomson; his aunt, Dot Simons Jones (Craig), Yulee, Fl.; and 2 grandchildren; Alexis Ansley and Travis Ansley Jr.

Pallbearers will be Steve Parish, Steve Wilson, Jim Parish, Steven Parish, Kevin Burnley, Jason Burnley, and Tony Burnley.

Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Curtis Funeral Home.
