Wesley retired from Martin Marietta after 42 years of dedicated service. Wesley was a faithful member of Fort Creek Baptist Church and he loved his church family.
Wesley was a loving and a slightly aggravating husband to Carol Gay Brannon of 58 yrs. Wesley was a wonderful, fun loving father to three children Wesley A Brannon III, Julie Bailey (Tommy), Mary Lynn Jump (Christopher) and two adopted daughters Tammie Smith(Jon) and Beth Gonzalez(Robert).
Wesley was born to his devoted hardworking parents Wesley Brannon Sr and Anne Y Brannon. Wesley was the the only boy born to Wesley Sr and Anne. Wesley was call Bubber by his sisters Annette, Frances, and Carrol. As a young boy Wesley tortured his sisters and cousins (Paulette and Harriett) with anything from cats to bicycles while they doated on him. Wesley loved his sisters and they cherished him in return. He was spoiled rotten by them. He talked to them everyday some times several times a day. Wesley was the fun uncle to his sisters children when they were younger.

He claimed it was the best in the family. After retirement Wesley took up the cooking for us and breakfast was his specialty. Wesley loved his friends, coworkers and neighbors. He kept in contact with many of his coworkers after retirement. He enjoyed spending time or talking with them.
