Thomson - Mr. William “Bill” Kitchens, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in the Azalia Rehab Facility, in Augusta.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Monday, December 29,2025, in the Zoar Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Black officiating.
Mr. Kitchens was born in Stapleton, Ga. to Albert and Virginia Kitchens on May 6, 1948. He was retired from the Georgia/Tennessee Mining Company, as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Zoar Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Virginia Kitchens; his son, Tony Kitchens; his brother, Lamar Kitchens; his sister, Betty Ann Kitchens; and his grandson, Taylor Key.
Survivors include his daughter, Cathy Holsonback (John), Augusta; his sister, Alice Reynolds, Warthen; his two grandchildren, Preston Key (Cyenna) and Ashley Key; and his 9 great-grandchildren, Azraella Key, Isabella Key, Meredith Key, Glenn Key, Matthew Key, Emma Key, John Key, Cassyn Key and Haeliegh Key; and his special buddy, Waylon Hayes.
The family will receive friends at the Curtis Funeral Home from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday morning prior to services.
