William Gary Garrison "Goofy"

Thomson- Mr. William Gary Garrison “Goofy”, 71, Beloved husband of Mrs. Deborah H. Garrison, died Sunday, October 15, 2023, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2023, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles Reese officiating. Burial will be in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Garrison was a native and lifelong resident of McDuffie County. He graduated from Thomson High School and served in the U.S. Army for 4 years. He was the owner / operator of the W.G. Garrison Construction Co. He was a member of the Thomson First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Martha Garrison. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Deborah Hobbs Garrison, Thomson; his daughter, Ms. Ashlee Garrison Hills, Evans; his son, Mr. Jeff (Jill) Fox, McDonough, Ga.; his sister, Mrs. Diane Hull, Thomson; his brother, Walter Jack (Judy) Garrison, Thomson; his three grandchildren, A.J. Hills, Connor Fox, and Elizabeth Fox; and his two furry friends, Beau and Diesel.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Hobbs, Billy Hobbs, Lorain English, Wade Williamson, and Tommy Gantt.

Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
