Dearing - Mrs. Wilma Randolph, 86, beloved wife of Mr. J.W. Randolph, Sr. for just shy of 62 years, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Curtis Funeral Home from 8 to 10 a.m. A private service for relatives will follow in the Chapel with Rev. Allen Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. and will be open to friends and family.
Mrs. Randolph was born in Quinwood, West Virginia to Peeler and Mable French. She was a coal miner's daughter.
After graduating from Charleston School of Commerce in Charleston, WV, she worked at the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. and also the Labor Department in Maryland. She worked as a secretary and then an Administrative Assistant. Upon moving to Georgia, she worked at the Georgia Department of Labor in Atlanta. She later became a Hair Dresser and was the owner / operator of The Beauty Barn in Boneville, Ga. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She and her husband raised their children in church, which was an important part of their life. They were a very blessed family. Some of their best years were raising their children who they loved with all their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peeler French and Mable French Friskey; her brother, Robert French, her sisters, Bonnie Lee French and Alice Salmi; and her grandchild, Megan Ailene Randolph. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Randolph, Sr., Dearing; her daughter, Cherie Lynne Howard (Tim), Dearing; her two sons, James Walton Randolph, Jr. (Karen), Jacksonville, Fl. and Kevin William Randolph (Bonnie), Dearing; her sister, Helen White (Gus), Cayce, S.C.; her six grandchildren, Kyle Randolph (Megan), Kory Randolph, Kayla Radford (Richard), Ansley Howard, Beth Randolph, and Anna Randolph; and her four great-grandchildren, Hannah Radford, Gracie Randolph, Hunter Randolph, and Annalyce Randolph.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Randolph (grandson), Kory Randolph (grandson), John White (nephew), Tim Howard (son-in-law), Richard Radford (grandson-in-law), and Derek Clark (nephew-in-law).
