Mrs. Mary L. Hinton

Mary L. Hinton, 86, of McLean, Virginia, passed away February 28, 2017. She was born in Gibson, GA, in January 1931. Mary was married to Andrew M. Hinton in June 1947. She worked for many years as a beautician in the Falls Church area and was a devoted and loving mother to her four children. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in McLean, had a deep abiding faith in God and held great love and respect for her family, friends and community.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Andrew in 1993, and her beloved daughter Julie in August 2016. She is survived by her sons Andrew (and M'liss), Joseph, and John (and Cindy); five grandchildren: Kathryn Hinton, M. Matthew Hinton, Andrew Hinton, Christopher Friend, and Jeffrey Hinton; and her brother Bob (and Nancy) Usry, and sisters, Elise Irby and Patricia M. Chitwood.

Burial will take place on March 11, 2017 in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Avera GA. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Curtis Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Mary's daughter Julie, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
