Mrs. Patricia Jean Wiggins Mayor Augusta- Mrs. Patricia Jean Wiggins Mayor, 75, beloved wife of Mr. Joseph Mayor, entered into rest Friday, July 21, 2017 at her residence. Funeral Services will be 10 A.M., Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Towns and Chaplain Finley Limehouse officiating. Burial will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mayor was a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia. She was a homemaker and attended Whispering Pines Baptist Church in Hephzibah. Mrs. Mayor was preceded in death by her brother, William Emmett Wiggins. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Joseph Mayor of Augusta; five daughters, Patricia Baker (Richard) of Gibson, Tammy Marlow (Ike) of Warrenton, Penny Jean Arnold (Ed) of Hephzibah, Martha Dora Churchill (David) of Tyrone, and Mary Christine Horton (Rick) of Spartanburg, S.C.; six siblings, Jeanette Ruth Dozier of Gibson, Raymond Chalmers Wiggins (Ione) of Greensboro, Alama Fay Cruz of Augusta, David Oneal Wiggins (Robyn) of Sandersville, Weldon Eugene Wiggins (Kim) of Warrenton, and Vanessa Diane Weatherford (Julian) of Augusta; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Billy Bagwell, William Wallace, Ike Marlow, Jr., Roger Hinman, Jr., Waylon Hinman, and Steven Morrison. Following the service the family will gather at Whispering Pines Baptist Church for a meal. Friends may call at the funeral home.
